I am a mother to 3 preemies, a full term baby and 2 angels. I started walking in 2003, in memory of my daughter Ashlyn who passed away 20 hrs after birth and to honor my surviving twin Haley, both born almost 4 months early. I had a BLAST photographing this family! My first large family shoot and for fun we threw in 7 labs! I was a little worried at first at how on earth I was going to get 7 dogs to coorporate, but once we got there I knew it was going to work just fine! The dogs were so well behaved, and the adults were even better :) I loved watching the interaction of everyone, they are just so much fun to be around! Thank you Iverson family!

Week 38: I heart Faces Photo Challenge | EXCITED!

How can one not show EXCITEMENT at the Happiest Place on Earth! I think my son had this look on his face the entire time while we were at Disneyland and California Adventure. This is without a nap every day too!! One minute it was Buzz Lightyear, watching the rollercoasters zoom by, seeing Mickey Mouse!! I absolutely LOVED seeing Disneyland through my children's eyes for the first time as a parent, I loved to see how excited they were about all of it. How much they loved it and were able to experience the magic now when they are little! This look on Hudson's face makes me can't wait to take them back again!!

What fun was this!! Kendra's senior shoot was a blast and we even got in trouble shooting at one location..woops! (Hey, with me, we live on the edge to get the perfect shots..hehe) We had giggle fits at the other location! I had so much fun with Kendra, her mom and my sister that day! We went back out later that week because she wanted to hit one more spot and it was just as fun! Some of my most favorites come from that day! Just what Senior portraits should be, fun and an expression of who the senior is! I think I was able to do just that! I can't believe Kendra is graduating this year...I met her when she was about 10 years old..seems almost impossible she is about to take on the world! Good Luck Kendra! I love ya!!!

It doesn't seem possible that this was taken on the last day of school field day! Has 3 months already come and gone that quickly? *sigh* All the excitement of what summer had in store, the popsicles, face painting and saying good bye to the school year! I looked over and saw my niece hanging upside down on the bar, I ran to her to snap this photo. I just love her expression! Reminds me of when I use to do that when I was her age! All. Recess. Long :)

Here is a session from last month. Isn't she adorable?? They were such good sports during the hot weather! It was a humid 90 degree afternoon. Little Alex LOVES water and her mommy had such a wonderful idea to have me take some of her in her bathing suit in a pool. She just kicked and kicked! It was the cutest thing ever! This week at I heart faces the theme is nostalgia. I wasn't sure just exactly I was going to find to fit this theme..I have so many pictures tucked away that show sentimental or yearning for the return of the past...Oh how I wish my babies would stop growing. *sniff* As I was looking through, I found this one...this one just spoke to me on a couple levels... my daughter was getting ready to make a wish....on our beloved "wishies" or "fairies". I use to do this when I was her age all the time...I still often do.. but I look at this photo and my heart just swells...as its something that reminds me of my childhood and a tradition I was able to pass down to her from my mom..and hopefully she passes on to her children. Precious. Simply precious! This is Annie. She was first seen on my blog around Father's Day when her mommy asked me to take photos of her and her big sister for their father! Finally! I am submitting a photo to I ♥ Faces! I think about it every week- I search for the best photo and then I procrastinate and forget to get the photo in on time. Now- don't be confused, I know these aren't faces...this is the very first time for Feet Week!

For this submission...I wanted something more personal! So I present to you, My Family Feet! My family and I were in Seaside, Oregon a summer ago and when I look at this photo, I remember everything about that weekend and what a good time we were having..just what a photo should do right? That summer was so much fun! I noticed all of are feet were so sandy from hours of playing and so I gathered everyone up and took a quick photo..I never thought it would instantly become an all time favorite of mine!

Doing some catch up! I was asked to do a mini shoot with these two beautiful girls and the doggies for a Father's Day present! Despite the age difference between these two sisters, I think they are so lucky to have each other! What a blessing for Annie to grow up and have Ashlee to look up to for friendship and advice! The dogs were so well behaved especially since the mastiff is bigger then all of us! They were off their leashes and listened, I think if anything they were bored with me...haha :) But it was so fun to have them in the photos as well!

This was such a wonderful idea for a gift! I can't wait to see Annie next week for her One Year photos!

I did a maternity shoot for an expecting mommy and daddy just a couple weeks ago, just over a week later, baby was born :) Talk about just in time! I was asked if I could come to the hospital and take a few photos there and I was happy to! There is just something about a new baby- the beginning bond and the love that just melts my heart. I put this photo show together for them and wanted to share it here too.

Isn't she beautiful?? Jodie and I had the privilege to photograph this little girls family in the fall before Jodie moved to Texas. She was 6 months old then..and now she is ONE! It was so great to see her and her family again, this is the part I love! I get to see the family again, I get to see the children grow! Her mommy was right when she said that Amelia was a mover, but I don't think you could tell from these portraits! Here is a little sneak peek! Happy First Birthday Amelia!

Meet Betty & Rod. They are getting married...again. :) Rod surprised Betty with a gorgeous ring at Christmas with the help of their wonderful grown children. They will be celebrating this July with a bigger wedding that he promised her 50 years ago. So we got together after church one Sunday and took some "Save the date" photos that they will send out to family and friends. We had fun finding various places outside- and even borrowing the red chair and rolled it out..the proof is in the photos ;) hehe I just love these two..they are the example of timeless love. They are just so cute and so giggly :) I hope my husband and I can be like them in another 40+ years!

Isn't she adorable? She was so alert and would not go to sleep for any of the bribes by daddy..haha All the tricks these new parents could think of were not working for her this day! :) Thats ok though, she was just so interested in the light, and them! Who could blame her! There were so many I loved..and this is just a small sample. I would love to post them all. :) I just loved the connection between the 3 of them! So real. I wish I had moments like this caught by the camera with my children as newborns.

What a sweetie! This little guy was getting over a cold and was a real trooper with me moving him all around. He fell asleep for just a little bit and I got some of the most precious photos. The rest of the time he was very awake and just checking the world out :) We plan on doing some more photos soon with his mommy & daddy so stay tuned for those :) He was blessed to be born into a wonderful family! He is showered with so much love :)

Meet E&E and of course, their mom and dad :) I had the privilege to photograph them a couple weeks ago. We finally got the shoot in after all that snow and then illness that swamped the beginning of the year. They turned the big ONE in February! I have been trying to find the perfect words for this post, because just saying, "take a look" doesn't work for me, so I decided to do my longer version on my personal blog, so for those you who want to read "more to the story" can. :) I didn't know until afterwards just how much their session meant to me :)

Thank you guys!!! It was so wonderful to finally get to meet you after all of our emails back and forth! :) I look forward to seeing you again!

Look at these little boys!! Mom and Dad better watch out...these two will be heart breakers for sure!! Kyle put the photos of Hudson at the football field as his background on the computer at work. One of his co-workers saw it and fell in love with it- her son was going to be turning two the very next month. So she scheduled a session for both her boys. And it turns out that Kyle and I both went to high school with her fiance! What a small world! We met 2 weeks ago and were able to get some photos in during the only couple hours it didn't rain that day!

By the end, D was NOT going to be have his photo taken anymore. You can see the adorable pouty face next to his baby brother Q. ;) I told mom we could do a 2nd session the next weekend and start with brother photos first. Next weekend came and D still was not very interested. haha I don't blame him, 2 year olds will be 2 year olds ;) What can I say! From experience with my own....either they will or they won't :) He knew how to work it with the candy bribes too...he is very smart :) As you can see Baby Q was more then happy to smile for me :) Just look at those beautiful brown eyes! Thank you D & Q! I look forward to watching you both grow!

Playing at the park!

We met at the park bright and early- how great are they!? Their son was so much fun! He just turned 3 and what a sweetie! He is the cousin of the beautiful little girl below! I can't wait to do some cousin shots in the months to come! The radio flyer is over 20 years old! His daddy use to ride in it too! I loved hearing that! Thank you guys for a wonderful morning! It was so nice to meet you!

Isn't she the sweetest thing??? This is the 2nd time I have photographed her, the first time she was only 6 weeks old. Now she is almost 4 months! Look at her grow! I was excited to get to photograph a little girly girl and so I made a tutu the night before to dress her in.

We did a mini shoot on the football field with Hudson yesterday after my other shoot and got several cute photos of him with the number two :)

I can't claim the football field idea as my own, Jodie did this with her son this past summer so I told her I would copy :) I couldn't resist the number 2 on the track around the field either! I can't wait to go through the rest of them!
